Happy June!

Well school is winding down. The girls are done Thursday. They really don't have too much left. Tomorrow is the Bauerwood Bash and I have no idea what they do on Thursday. They will probably be cleaning out desks and lockers and some other fun things.

I am done subbing. People really aren't taking time off this week unless they are dying so I haven't had any jobs. It is kind of nice to have a few days to be home with Allison before the girls are here. I have been tying up some loose ends and working on some projects.

The basement remodel is coming along nicely. The wall is up and the window goes in on Sunday. That will really be the turning point because then we can hang drywall, carpet and paint. Jess is getting excited, she has been very patient which we are very thankful for. This is a busy time of year and our helpers are just as busy as we are. We appreciate Mom and Michelle for sharing their men with us to get this project done. Once Jess is downstairs we will flip flop Allison and Katie upstairs. This will put Katie back in her old room (which she wants really bad for some reason even though it is the smallest room in the house) and it will give Allison a larger room to share with her brother. Then I need to neutralize that room as it is pretty girly at this point. Bethany has become a professional painter after becoming a homeowner so she is going to help me make some color changes.

To give those of you who I haven't talked to yet a job update: I interviewed for two positions here in Jenison but did not receive either one. I was pretty disappointed as I thought the interview went well and I thought it was a good opprotunity as one of the positions was a grade level I student taught. I will continue to look throughout the summer but those two were the most promising. I told myself good things happen in 3's. Sean got promoted, Bethany got a classroom job and Laura got a new job. So I must be getting something. Well, that makes four Sara...duh, I'm out of luck. Hey I am an English teacher....not a math teacher!
