Sick Again

Well, Katie is sick again. She finished her antibiotic from her infection and about 4 days later was sick again. She slept till 11:30 yesterday morning and took a 2 hour nap after getting home from swimming lessons. We spent some time with my mom and sister Bethany last night and they could tell by looking at her that she had another infection. She complained of different symptoms this time, but had the fever and was really out of it the whole day. When I called the doctor this morning they were sure she had strep-throat. Of course when she got in there they confirmed another UTI. She is now on a different antibiotic and in two weeks, when they have confirmed that the infection is gone, they are going to do an ultra-sound of her kidneys. After that they may need to do a procedure to watch her kidneys function, using a dye, but we will know more after the ultra-sound. She is being a trooper. She says the medicine is yucky, but isn't fighting me to take it. She was feeling better tonight, but she missed swimming today and was pretty much on the couch all day. I sure hope this isn't her whole summer. Not a very exciting "What I did on my summer vacation" essay: "I was sick and watched alot of T.V.!"
