Happy Birthday Katie!

Today our Katie turned 10! It is so hard to believe that she has hit double digits. For so long she was our baby and I was sort of in denial on each birthday. She has been very excited for this birthday. This afternoon she opened her presents after church and went to the Griffins game. She saw her name on the video board, wishing her Happy Birthday! She shares a birthday with Griff, the Griffins mascot, so he had all his mascot friends at the game today. She really enjoyed seeing all of the different mascots goofing off and being silly. She is very excited about this coming week-end. She is having some friends from school over for a sleepover on Friday night. That should be interesting. We have not done a slumber party since the baby has been born. I think it will be an exciting night for all of us. On Sunday we are celebrating her birthday, along with Allison's, with our family. She is excited to see her cousins, aunts and uncles and grandparents. Quite a few of them called her today to say "Happy Birthday", but she can't wait to see them.

She is thrilled to finally be 10, and mentioned quite a few times today that she is "only 1 year younger than Jess". She was quickly reminded that that won't be for long!
