Gray hair that is! Wow this has been quite a trying week. I went back to work on Monday and leaving the kids was not nearly as emotional as I thought it would be. I remember crying like a baby when I dropped off Jessica the first time....different story now. I was a little better with Katie, but still a basket case. Leaving Allison was hard because I had been removed from leaving kids at daycare for so long. This time I dropped and ran! Poor Julie, I filled her in on the particulars and was out the door. They were on my mind the whole day, but no tears! The evenings have been rough! Carson does great for Julie. He sleeps and eats well and loves to watch the girls play. When he gets home it is a different story. He is fussy from the time I get him out of the van until bedtime and bedtime has become quite late. Monday and Tuesday he was screaming to well past midnight. Last night I turned off all of the lights in the living room and rocked him for about a half hour. He was asleep around 10:30....making progress I guess. The world does not stop for a crying baby! We have had to plug away with all our other things with the soundtrack of screaming in the background. Soccer, softball, AWANA and homework still need to happen; so by the time we finally do get to bed we are pretty wiped. I have resolved myself to the fact that for the next few years the laundry will never be completely done or will my house ever be spotless!
Despite the craziness the girls are doing well at school and fall sports. Allison is a hoot, she does something new and crazy everyday. She makes us laugh! She was definately sent to entertain us in our later years of life! When Carson is happy he is really happy. He has a huge smile and a sweet laugh. He loves attention from his daddy and we have found that just hanging out with Dad on the couch does settle him down for a while in the evenings.
We are looking forward to this week-end as Jessica has her first tournament. The babies are going to visit Grandpa and Grandma White in Hart and the rest of us are headed to Kalamazoo. I always look forward to a little break from the babies, if only to get some sleep, but always miss them so much the minute they are gone!

We are looking forward to seeing the babies this weekend. Hope you get a little break and some rest.
What's the verdict on you and the ladies' retreat? I'm going this year for the first time in awhile and was looking forward to seeing you.
I'll be sure to track down your mom for a look at your BOY! :)
We are crossing our fingers on the Ladies retreat, Dorothy. I need the break and was looking forward to going so we will have to see how the next few days play out! :)
