GO STORM !!!

Well, we have committed ourselves to travel softball. This week-end Jessica tried out for a position on the Lakeshore Storm, a travel softball team out of Zeeland. She had a great try-out, both fielding and hitting. Sean was a little nervous about her hitting because she has started seeing a hitting coach and he did an overhaul on her swing. She has only met with him a couple of times and we were not sure how she would do in a tryout or game situation. What he is teaching her must be working because she hit every pitch and crushed them into the outfield!! Her fielding and catching was great and the coaches were excited to see her catching skills. The coach called Jess last night and she invited her to join the team. Jess was very excited, needless to say. She was scheduled to try-out for a different team this week-end, but she really hit it off with the other girls on this team and liked the coach alot. The coach is a catcher by trade so it will be a great learning experience for Jess. She will have some tournaments this fall and then in the spring, with some training and practices during the winter. When we get her schedule we will let everybody know of the local touraments if you want to come watch her in action! We are really proud of her and her softball accomplishments this year...WAY TO GO JESS!
