Jessica's All-Star team made it into the championship bracket, but did not advance to the state tournament. They needed to beat a tough Pinery Park team 2 out of 3 games to move on. Pinery beat us 15-6 last night to end our season. Jess had a great tournament. She established early that she couldn't be stole on, so they stopped trying. She struggled a little at the plate hitting early on, but the last couple of games she came back around. This picture was taken Thursday night after they beat up on Hudsonville, at this point they were not sure if they made it into the final bracket, but with a little help from Rockford on Friday night we made it in. We are sad to be done, but things here will settle down a little and give us some time to catch our breath before the baby comes!Katie is at soccer camp this week. Yesterday the weather stayed pretty mild in the morning so it wasn't too hot on the field. Jenison has artificial turf that just bakes in the sun and can get pretty hot. It helps that she plays in the morning too, before it gets too bad. She is happy to be playing again. She scored a bunch of goals in her scrimmage. She hasn't lost her touch!
