Turning the Corner...

The last week or so we have been able to get the recommended daily amount of sleep...FINALLY! Carson is doing great at night. He usually wakes up about 4-5 am but goes right back down without getting up for a feeding. We finally found a "binky" he likes and can keep in his mouth. This has helped out so much. He isn't nearly as fussy. He is still spitting up quite a bit, but he doesn't seem to have the tummy aches as before...he may just be a spitty baby for a while. He is quite smiley and has started laughing out loud. His sisters make him laugh and he is quite entertained by them. Especially Allison. She likes to get in his face to talk to him and tries to give him his bottles and binkies. Whenever he is lying on a blanket on the floor she will lay down right with him. The cutest thing I've seen is the shushing. She has started putting her finger to her mouth and shushing when we shush her. Her new thing is to put her finger on Carson's mouth when he is fussing and give a loud SHUSH...like this will make him stop fussing. It usually brings on more noise as he is not crazy about his sister's fingers in his mouth.

Allison and Carson are getting into the groove at Julie's house. Allison is happy to be playing with Melanie again on a regular basis and Melanie loves Carson. She mothers him and gives him hugs and kisses. Allison just gives her the "evil glare" when she does this, I'm not sure if it is jealousy or she just thinks Melanie is crazy making a fuss over a boring brother!

Jess and Katie are busy with school and playing ball. Katie has two more soccer games this fall and Jess is done with tournaments until Christmas. Jess is still practicing once a week with her team and throwing every night with Sean. She sees a hitting coach regularly too. We are off the hook with games for a while, a nice break as we enter the busy season of band and choir concerts. It never ends!

Oh, yes, it ends. But by then they are all grown up!

Carson is a cutie-pie.
