Well May snuck up on us and so much has been happening! Jessica has turned 12 (finally) and is looking forward to the end of 6th grade. She has been signing up for Jr. High classes and we have orientation next week. She is getting very excited, I think she will really enjoy next year. Katie is thrilled with the nice weather. She loves to be outside playing with her friends. We are rejoicing today because she saw the doctor and she has crossed the 50 pound threshold! YEAH! She weighs 51 pounds (finally)! She was more excited about being 51 inches, more rides she can ride at Cedar Point! Allison is a terror! She is into everything and destroys everything she touches. She can't just look at something, she has to tear it apart and spread it all over the place. It looks like a tornado has hit the house everyday, all day! She has started climbing too. She climbs into the fridge, the dishwasher, the fireplace, anything and everything. She has become quite challenging and this is getting tiring as I get bigger and more uncomfortable.
I am extremely uncomfortable right now with my little condition. Most of you know I have developed a nasty case of shingles. It started last week with some back pain that I thought was probably a pulled muscle. It would just not loosen up and when Sean rubbed it I felt like I was being shot, it hurt so bad. The doctor wasn't really able to see it as shingles because I hadn't gotten the rash when I was at the doctor. Then the rash came and the pain got really bad. Wednesday and Thursday were really bad, I have a pretty high pain tolerance, and I was in tears most of the time. I couldn't lift Allison or walk around without severe pain. I have been on the medicine since Wednesday night and am starting to feel better. The pain isn't as intense and the stabbing pain doesn't come as often. I am sleeping better and I think that is helping how I feel overall too. To make it worse, I have a couple of feet (or fists) constantly punching and kicking the nerve that is sore....when it rains it pours!
The Griffins are done for this season and the Rampage only have a few more games so Sean has been at home alot more. By home I mean not at the arena. He has been doing the practices for the girls so he is usually gone every night of the week with either Jess or Katie. Games are getting a little difficult with Allison. She does not sit in her stroller as well as she did last year. She gets through about 2 innings of a softball game or 1 half of a soccer game and then she just sits there and screams! It wouldn't be such a big deal, but she does get distracting to the girls. She wants to run around and play. I got her out the other night and she headed straight for Jessica's dugout, not a real safe place for her to be! I am trying to be creative in keeping her occupied, but think I may have to get a babysitter here pretty soon. She isn't enjoying herself and I can't watch the game.
I will post some pictures of the girls and their spring sports as soon as I can take some. I haven't been able to get any pictures yet!
