Busy, Busy, Busy...

I thought it was time I catch everyone up on our family. We continue to stay busy as we get closer to the holidays. Jessica and Katie continue to plug away at school. They are eager for a break and are looking forward to vacation. Jessica is still working hard in band and choir. She has double choir duty being in two choirs. She stays after school two nights a week for choir and is at school early three mornings a week for band. Katie is having an awesome school year. Parent-teacher conferences were very positive this year for both girls. Katie is really doing great and this is exciting for all of us. The hard choices and changes we have made this past year are finally becoming evident. She enjoys her class and loves her teacher, (we do too!).

Allison continues to amaze us each day with the things she does and says. She is sooo close to walking. Everyday I think she will let go of the coffee table and just take off. She took one step today as she was on a mission to retrieve a binky from Julie and misjudged how far away she was. She just let go of me and took a step and pludged into Julie's chair. We have been trying to duplicate the feat since we have been home, but have been unsuccessful. She has become quite the talker. She now says "daddy" as clear as a bell and has started shouting "a" and "e" when she needs attention from Jessica or Katie. No "Momma" yet....it has to be coming! She is quite the chatterbox, she will carry on a serious conversation with Lilo if she is unaware of an audience. She is growing up so fast, it is hard to believe we are 3 months away from her first birthday.

The Griffins are in full swing so Sean is very busy with games and promotions. He just returned from a four day trip to Texas. He went down to catch a couple of games while the Griffins were in Houston and San Antonio. He also had a chance to meet up with some friends and do some golfing. I also had him on a scouting mission. This time of year I get the itch to pack up and move south. He enjoyed 70 degree weather over the week-end. I was quite jealous.
I continue to stay busy subbing, I spend most of my time at Pinewood in Jenison, but am other places too. I am also looking forward to Christmas break, but image I will be ready to go back long before the girls are.
