Happy Halloween!

We survived Halloween! I actually had a job on Wednesday... a little crazy! I was in a third grade class in Byron Center. A pretty easy gig as half the day was a party! This meant I was not able to be at Bauerwood for the girl's parties. They had a great time. In sixth grade they had a nacho bar for lunch and played games in the afternoon, something different for Jess. Katie's class had a big party and a was in the costume parade through the school.
The girls had a great time trick or treating. It rained for a few minutes just as they were getting started, but didn't last long. Jessica went out with her best friend Jackie. Sean took Katie around our neighborhood with the kids across the street. We have new neighbors who haven't trick or treated here yet so Katie was excited to show them around. Allison and I stayed home to meet the trick or treaters. She made it through about two visitors and then fell asleep.
She was quite cute if I must say for her first Halloween. She was a bumblebee....SO CUTE!!! Jessica was a fifties girl and Katie was a Webkinz black cat. After the girls finished their rounds we headed over to see Nana and Grandpa. The girls did not have school on Thursday so they stayed up late and sorted candy...ate a little too!
Jessica's first band concert was great! The concert mostly showcased the sixth grade band and the progress they have made since the beginning of the schoool year. We also got to hear the Jr. High bands and the Marching Band. Jenison's Marching Band is AWESOME! Jess was really impressed and of course excited to be in Marching Band some day.
We continue to stay busy, the Griffins are in full swing and Sean is very busy. Just to let everybody know that if you ever want to go to a game give him a call, he can hook you up! We are also looking forward to the holidays...the first holiday in almost 15 years that I am not in retail....YEAH!
